Well, yesterday had its ups and downs, but ended pretty good I think. Just a long, long day. And today is about the same. At least I have tomorrow off, to finish laundry and things.
Uhhh....don't you hate it when you're in the middle of doing something and your cat comes over and bangs his head into your hand, and you get messed up. Not that I mind my cat coming over to see what I'm doing, its just he can get a little pesky when I'm on the computer.
Anyway... oh yeah, yesterday. I had a brief talk with my dad, during which I told him that I was moving out as soon as I find an apartment, just because I couldn't live there if all we do is fight. He started with his "I don't think you should...I don't think you can afford it...you should just stay here..." and I basically told him no. And that I managed perfectly fine moving 500 miles away, and can manage this just fine and he doesn't need to worry about it.
Yay

Independence restored...a little.
Anyway, yesterday I also saw Dick Goddard: (here's a picture I captured from the news station)

He is one of the coolest guys on the Fox news station affiliate here. He's done the weather forever...um, actually since 1966. So not forever...

. He's very into animal adoption and fixing of pets. When we were little my dad used to turn on the TV about 15 minutes into the news, he came on at 6:20, and sometimes he would have a dog or cat with him from the shelter that needed a good home, and he'd give that pet airtime and encourage people to adopt because there were so many that needed homes. And I always wanted to go right then and get a dog, but too many people in my family were allergic.
Anyway, I saw him walk by the window in front of the studio towards the smoothie place, and I just stared at him. I felt so dumb and starstruck. But it was funny. And he's a cool guy.
All right, I'm gonna go iron. I'm trying to get out of here early, so I can get a large coffee at the gas station on my way in.
