Okay, new goal!

My goal for this week is to get in the habit of updating this daily. I'm just pulled too many directions on the internet it seems, and after hours of writing, all I can think is "uuhhhhh....".

Let's see... busy summer, so far. I've started feeding hay and water and picking stalls in the afternoons after my Monday riding lessons, and in return I'm getting an extra lesson each week. It's so great! I get to hang out with horses more each week, but at the same time, all my free time is pretty much gone. Oh well. My riding is getting better. I love it so much. I keep learning new things...and it's a lot of hard work. I sometimes feel a little overwhelmed, like my brain can't go in that many directions at once. It's getting better. My 2-point is SO much better, and I've been working on rising trot. I'm still not there yet, but maybe by the end of July I'll be close....

Um, yeah, classes. All right.

I've been sewing too. Right now I'm working on an 1860's ballgown for the Bonanza Convention. I have some finishing touches, and then I'm waiting for my other patterns to arrive to finish the undergarments and start on the next project. I love it... I think the dress is turning out really well. I'll post a picture when I'm done.

I just finished the final edits on my most recent fanfic, and I posted that yesterday. I like it, and I always hope other people do, too. It's one thing to just write for yourself, and say "heck with everyone else", but I write what I like, and then try to make it so other people will too. I have three more variations on my theme, and then I'm out of ideas, lol. At least they should appeal to people who like those stories. I just read one that someone was talking about on the forum awhile ago, and I was so dissapointed. First of all, it took me forever to find it. (My search engine brain functions must have been rusty, because after I found it I realized I should have found it long ago). And then it was a medium length story, so it took me a couple hours I think to read it. All I know is I went to bed at 1:30 last night, which was too late. But it just seemed as though the writer wanted to write a certain story, and then just twisted everything around to tell that story. What was left made no sense because it was so out of character for everyone else. And then everything that happened in the ending just happened to happen...there was no logical progression. Maybe I'm bad, because one thing that drove me nuts was the lack of dialogue. Perhaps I use too much dialogue in mine, lol.

Anyway, that was a big long rant partially because I'm a little sleep deprived to due staying awake to read the story and also because I didn't sleep very well.

Work...is. Work. What can I say? It pays for school with leftover money for my riding lessons, so I can't complain too much.

Speaking of riding, it's about that time that I get ready to head out. I get to spend all day today in the barn (YAY!), first through feeding and watering horses, then my lesson, then cleaning, then a group lesson in groud work tonight. Should be fun.

Later!
