Sorry for venting, but I simply must or else I will go crazy. If you don't want to read crazy, stupid work stuff, skip the next paragraph.
Well, my manager is at the company-wide managers meeting for the next three days. And she left me the task of calling potential part-time candidates, doing a telephone interview with them, and setting up a time for them to come in and do an interview with her. Other than the girl who said, "Whaaaaaaaa...? I turned in an application? Like for a job???" they've been unremarkable. She gave me instructions that should any of the candidates answer all the questions correctly, I need to schedule them for an interview, even if they "sound like a retard" (her words). This is referring to the interview she conducted with a mentally handicapped man, whom she could tell from his application and the telephone interview that he was mentally handicapped (she said that he was, several times, before he came in) and she still made him come in and do an interview, was rude to him the whole time, and then made fun of him after he left. I, of course, was quite upset with her about this, and she blew me off, of course. So much fun.
I don't mind doing the interviews. More on the resume.

Plus, I'm basically looking for my replacement, so I want to make sure that the other employees who are left like the person who gets hired. Hopefully.
I went over to my coworker's parents' house after work today. I've been there a few times and house-sat for them. My coworker (I guess soon I'll just be calling her a "friend") and I went over to see their new puppy. She is SO cute! She's a golden retriever and she's not hyper at all. She's such a sweetheart. We were all tossing around names, and I came up with "Zoey" and "Bella", both of which are candidates. I think both of them fit her.
This double-clicking thing has gotten out of control. I think I'm stopping at the computer store tomorrow whilst on the hunt.
Okay, both my other classes start in a week, but all the info was just posted so I've gots lots to do!
Later!
