12:25 AM

Bright orange leaves, crispness in the air... too bad it means winter is coming....

  • Mood: (even though I'm doing Dressage, which is definitely NOT compatible with the western discipline)

Why I Love Riding (and more specifically, the place where I ride):

-My Instructor
-Merlin and Sammy
-That I get to half-lease Sammy, and ride him twice a week on my own. (We shall see how far THAT gets, considering my class load...)
-Good exercise
-I end up smelling like a horse at the end of the day.

Here's a picture of me next to Sammy. Isn't he beautiful?

This one was taken early during groundwork, before he tried to run over me in order to keep from walking over a stream, and then, failing in that, decided to LEAP over the stream, pulling me in. Sigh.....

I rode today for the first time in weeks, thanks to getting sick. It was fun, and yes I will be sore tomorrow. One of the ladies who boards a horse there, and is on my Facebook (where I geeked out and posted pics from the convention the whole time), said she now understood why my license plate reads "LTTL JOE" and we spent about a half hour talking about Bonanza. So fun!

Last night I had one of my long, involved dreams, involving hiking through miles of pumpkin patches while wrapped in a large blue cloth. I looked up the significance of blue in dreams, and it's supposed to have a spiritual meaning. It was weird, because the entire dream, I was wrapping this giant blue cloth tight around me. I wonder what it means?

I went to Tar-jay after riding today (big mistake, BTW. Smelling like a horse does not endear you to people.) Anyway, I got a new mouse and a really really cool color-coded calendar, so now I can keep track of all my classes. Woohoo! This four class thing is starting to scare me, but it'll be all right. Now that I have a calendar. Lol.

Holliday and Milesky, I certainly would report her, but the company is so bad... she, shockingly enough, is not the worst of the managers that work for the company, and other managers have gotten their hands slapped for much worse than that. (Take my last manager, who even after I reported him for a hostile work environment, sexual and just general harassment, didn't get fired.) She's an equal opportunity offender, and she's blatant about it, saying she's "Honest" and "Speaks her mind". I've wanted to report her about several...dozen...things that she's done or said, but the people I work with are worried we'd get a worse manager. I'm the only one she makes completely inappropriate comments to and the only one who really cares enough to speak up when she does something not legal or ethical. I guess that's why she dislikes me so much, in addition I'm the only one who knows how to run the store, so I'm the one she HAS to depend on when she's not there. I'm not really sure what to do. Reporting her would certainly get her a talking-to, probably not fired (maybe, but most likely not) and nothing that anyone would tell her would make a difference at all. It's just a badly run company. Out of curiosity, I did a search at JobVent.com for the company, and the ratings are horrible. And most of them true.

All right, it is late and I do have to work tomorrow. Hoping we have no appointments, so we can play games all day. I'm in charge, and I'm not caring anymore, lol.

Night!

OK, are you ready? The giant blue cloth you were wrapping yourself in is the blue cloth Joe brought for Winnemucca's daughter in that early BZ ep I can't remember the name of. I think also this may be connected to ML's son. You know, the one who kept smiling at you?
